Opal Coolie Shade

The Conical or Coolie Shade has a long history in lighting. Historically they have been made from glass, fabric and metal. The shade was designed to maximise the spread of light underneath it whilst the very narrow top minimised the amount of light 'lost' upwards into the ceiling. This is achieved simply without excess embellishment. Our example is made from opal (white) glass and is available in two diameters.

Please note that this shade will need a  2 1/4in gallery to adapt it to fit a normal BC bulbholder.
