Wooden Latch Set
Product No. 2362 | This is an oak latch set made for us to copy an original found in an old farmhouse locally. It is supplied with the wood untreated for you to finish yourself. It is a beautiful and unique thing the history of which appears to have disappeared from the folk memory as most of the originals have been replaced 150 - 200 years ago as they wore out. An interesting (and much quieter) alternative to an iron latch. Supplied with the rosehead cut nails to fit. A difficult thing to give a size for - it covers an area of approximately 7 inches by 6 inches on the door.
