Butler's or Door bell Product No. 2042	This butler's bell is true in every detail. The bell is cast in a bell foundry of a suitable tuneable material. The spring is made by a company that used to make them in the past and has been able to resurrect some retired expertise. We use a square nut to attach the spring to the arm and a copper rivet to attach the bell to the spring. The brass parts have been copied from original examples. All in all this is the most authentic reproduction we have ever seen - but then we would say that because that is what we set out to achieve. Bell pulls are available elsewhere on this site. Brass mechanical daisy bell pull Product No. 1178	An ornate and grand mechanical bell pull copied from an original piece. It measures 4in in diameter with a stylised daisy pull. It is cast in brass. Brass oblong bell pull Product No. 1038	This is a unique item that we have commissioned ourselves. It is a mechanical bell pull on an oblong (1 3/8in wide by 3 1/2in long) backplate. This allows fitment of a bell pull where space is limited. It is faithfully copied in recycled brass from an original example that we found some years ago. A black and brass bell press Product No. 1176	A decorated black and highlighted brass bell push that measures 3 inches long by 1.5 inches wide. Brass bell push with a ceramic button Product No. 1175	The largest diameter bell press that we stock (although we can get larger by special order). This is brass with a traditional ceramic button and is 4 inches in diameter. Brass circular bell press with a brass button Product No. 1171	An all brass bell push that is circular in design and 2.5 inches in diameter. This is another simple and classic design and is supplied to us by a company that has been making bell presses since the late 19th century. Brass electric daisy bell pull Product No. 1168	This is an unusual item. This is adapted from an original 4 inch mechanical bell pull but is fitted with an electrical switch so that a pull will operate an electrical bell. It is cast in brass and is a large an imposing piece. Brass Doctor's Knocker Product No. 1395	We have references to this knocker going back to at least 1832 in a brass founder's catalogue of that year. So far, however, we have not discovered why this has always been known as a Doctor's Knocker. If anyone has the answer, please let us know. What we do know, is that this classically influenced design was commonly used on plain and stylish panelled doors were its narrow shape is the only one that will fit. Its length is 8 inches and is 2 1/4 inches at its widest point. Lion's head or 'No.10' brass knocker Product No. 1903	A substantial door knocker of a lion's head design but otherwise known as the No.10 knocker since it was fitted to the door of No.10 Downing Street (the home of the British Prime Minister) during the rebuilding of the facade in the 18th century. This knocker (the only authentic design) have appeared in manufacturers catalogues that we have seen at least from 1835 to the present day and has become a timeless design. It measures around 8 1/2in long by 4 3/4in wide. Large Iron Ring Door Knocker Product No. 1224a	A substantial and imposing iron knocker. More than adequate for summoning the footman from your wine cellar. The backplate is around 4 inches square and the heavy iron ring is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Iron Knocker Product No. 6003a	A simple knocker that we have devised, in conjunction with our blacksmith, to complement, especially, old cottagey style properties.
